Every family takes pride in some inherent trait that is passed on to the progeny, generation after generation. Likewise , the Rungtas have a streak of philanthropy that has been passed on from one generation to the next.
Shri Rai Saheb Richhpalji Rungta, the scion of the family, and Shri Ghanshyam Dasji Rungta were the torchbearers who, with great earnestness, initiated the noble service of providing education to the people of Durg, Bhilai, and the adjoining areas. Their aim was to bring about educational reform in this part of the country. The spark that they ignited has today turned into a beacon. It has now become a tradition, successfully carried forward by their successors.

The GD Rungta Educational Society was established in 1999 with an initial intake of just 240 students. Today, the institution has undergone a remarkable transformation, with more than 4,000 students from various parts of the country and the world enrolled. As the number of students pursuing Engineering, Technical, Management, Dental, Graduate, and Postgraduate programs continues to grow, so does the need for more faculty and support staff. Our faculty is carefully selected by a highly professional team that serves as a bridge between parents and the institution, upholding the trust’s belief in ethical practices.
